About Chinese Zodiac

What is Chinese Zodiac?

The Chinese zodiac is a repeating 12-year cycle where each year is represented by an animal and its characteristics. The 12 animals are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.

The Five Elements

Each zodiac sign is also associated with one of five elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) in a 60-year cycle. The element adds another layer of characteristics to your zodiac sign.

Chinese New Year

The Chinese zodiac follows the lunar calendar, so Chinese New Year falls on different dates each year (usually between January 21 and February 20). If you were born in January or early February, using your birth date gives a more accurate result.

Personality & Compatibility

Each zodiac animal is believed to have certain personality traits, lucky numbers, and lucky colors. Some signs are considered more compatible with each other based on traditional Chinese astrology.
